Our terms and conditions are here to assist you with the service we are providing.

Special Day Wedding Cars and 1066 Wedding Cars are trading names of the same business that offer the same vehicles and services under these terms and conditions. From herein after these businesses are referred to as "We"

In making payment of the required deposit to secure your booking you are also accepting these terms and conditions of hire and agree to be bound by them without exception.

Your booking refers to a date and time with a vehicle and chauffeur.

It may also refer to multiple vehicles and chauffeurs.

We require a deposit of £50 per vehicle at the time of booking.

Payment can be made using most major credit or debit cards via our on-line payment system provided by PayPal

Other types of payment in sterling only might be considered.

The remaining balance is to be paid in full no later than 6 weeks prior to the date of the wedding.

Please be aware that should the outstanding balance not be paid in full 28 days before the wedding date we reserve the right to cancel the booking and offer the date for general release in which case you will forfeit the deposit.

The booking price is the agreed amount once arrangements have been established.

This includes planning the routes and journey times, providing the vehicle and chauffeur and including any extra requirements that you may have requested.

Minor changes to a booking may be made at any time up to 7 days prior to the wedding date and providing they are minor such as, ribbon colour, flowers, drink requirements will incur no extra charges.

Greater changes to a booking such as dates, times, venues, pick-up points etc. should be notified as soon as possible but any such change cannot be guaranteed.

Should we not be able to amend your booking and providing your request was received at least 8 weeks prior to the wedding date then you have the right to cancel the booking and forfeit your deposit.

We reserve the right to charge extra where deemed necessary without exceptions for any agreed change.

Cancellations need to be made in writing or by email. Providing the cancellation notice is received by us at least 15 weeks prior to the wedding date then the deposit will be refunded less 50% administration charge. If the cancellation notice is received by us less than 15 weeks from the wedding date then the full amount of the agreed hire charge will become payable. If we are able to make another booking to substitute yours and in which case the full amount will be refunded less 30% handling charge.

We reserve the right to refuse entry into any vehicle under our control to any person who is or appears to be under the influence of alcohol or any other substance such causing unacceptable behaviour.

Any offensive, abusive or intimidating behaviour directed at the chauffeur and/or the vehicle in the their charge by the hirer or ANY other person associated with the hirer or his/her guests will result in the withdrawal and termination of the hire.

Any claim for compensation will not be accepted and our decision will be final.

We include Champagne as a "gift" and reserve the right to provide our "gift" entirely at our discretion. We also reserve the right to substitute Champagne for a white sparkling wine, such as Preseco or similar white sparkling wine. Any quote, statement or other references to "Champagne" do not form any part of any booking and is provided as a "gift" and therefore excluded entirely from our contract.

All prices published on our web site are only applicable to the the current year and not guaranteed for later years. Please use our on-line quote form to check availability and price.

Personal belongings

1066 Wedding Cars will make every effort to ensure against loss or damage to personal belongings.

It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that all personal items are removed from the vehicle(s) at the end of the hire period.

The car, once left the location might not return with left items.

Any item found in a vehicle will be held for 28 days and will be the responsibility of the hirer to collect such item(s).

Valuables should not be left in the vehicle(s) at anytime during the hire period.

It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that no member of their party or guests to ensure that clothing is kept clear of any part of the vehicle that could damage or dirty their clothing.

We accept no responsibility for personal belongings or clothing that may become damaged or lost.

Seating and Seat Belts

Whenever seat belts are fitted it is your legal responsibility to use them.

Should passengers decline to use the seat belts then 1066 Wedding Cars accept no responsibility for any consequences whatsoever including personal injury.

Young children are accommodated providing a suitable safety seat is provided and fitted by a parent or guardian.

All passengers should remain seated at all times.

Vehicles must not carry more passengers than exceed the manufacturers specification.

Under no circumstances should anyone be carried on another person's lap.

No animals are allowed, with the exception of guide dogs (must be approved at the time of booking)

Child Seats

Because child seats have to conform to the specific age and size of a child and require expert knowledge in fitting them WE DO NOT PROVIDE CHILD SEATS. You are very welcome to provide your own seat(s) and fit them into our vehicle on the understanding that we accept no responsibility whatsoever for the suitability or safety of such seat(s) or any child using them.


The hirer should ensure that adequate access, turnaround and exit for the vehicle(s) is provided at all addresses to be attended.

If at any point the chauffeur feels that this is restricted in any way then the chauffeur will stop at the nearest legal safe point available regardless of distance.

The chauffeur has the right to refuse on any surface that he feels might damage the vehicle.

If you have an unmade road or uneven road surface then please inform us at the time of booking.

Unforeseen circumstances

Whilst every effort is taken to maintain our vehicles in excellent and reliable condition unforeseen events can arise.

If the car you have booked develops a fault that cannot be rectified in a timely manner a second vehicle will be dispatched as a replacement.

If the value of the replacement vehicle is less than the hired vehicle the difference will be refunded.

If the value of the replacement vehicle is greater than the hire vehicle there will be no extra charge.

The decision will be given to the hirer whether to accept this option before we dispatch the replacement vehicle.

If this option is not accepted by the hirer then a full refund will be issued and our liability will be no further.

In the event of breakdown whilst en-route to any address we reserve the right to arrange alternative transport to the best of our ability and availability from any local provider.

The hirer hereby agrees that any compensation for en-route breakdown will be limited to the full value of the booking and no further liability will be accepted.

Whilst we allow plenty of time to arrive on time and make every effort in planning the best routes for the occasion circumstances outside our control may arise.

Road works can sometimes just appear, local events, accidents, road closures and even the unpredictable English weather can affect journey times.

Any delays en-route to any location is beyond our control and are accepted as unforeseen circumstances and this is accepted by the hirer at the time of making their booking.

No liability can be accepted for any of the above.

Inclement and Adverse weather conditions

Safety will always be observed and not compromised.

Whilst every effort will be taken to uphold our responsibilities and make your day run smoothly British weather is very unpredictable.

In the event of adverse weather it will be decided by us if it is safe to operate our vehicles in the conditions at any given time.

Should we feel the need that it is hazardous to operate in the given conditions the hirer will be notified and a full refund issued with no further liability.

During the winter months it may be advisable to have a back up plan should inclement weather be forecast and we reserve the right to provide a suitable and capable vehicle (4 x 4) should the weather conditions dictate. The substitution will not effect the hire cost and no refund will be given.

Damage to vehicles

The hirer agrees that if any member of their party or guest causes damage or theft to or from our vehicles or incites others to cause damage or theft to our property the hirer will be held responsible and liable for all costs incurred from such actions.

Damage to the exterior or interior of vehicles are both the responsibility of the hirer.

Total repair cost will include the cost of repair, loss of bookings or any other losses and/or incurred costs.

Vehicle condition

Your booked vehicle(s) will be fully prepared to arrive in a clean and presentable condition for your special occasion. The car will be dressed with Bows and Ribbons in your choice of colour. However, we reserve the right to dress the car in neutral colours should for any reason we can not provide or match your requested colour(s).

Should a person be taken unwell in the car a cleaning charge will be levied. Should any of the above mentioned items or any other object or substance be used in a manner that causes damage or excess cleaning the hirer will be liable for any costs in making good, loss of bookings or any other losses and/or incurred costs.

Please no silly string to be used in or around the vehicle(s).

Complimentary Gifts, Sparkling Wine, Champagne and the use of the "Bubble" machine fitted to our 4 door Beauford are offered to the Bride & Groom and are offered as a courtesy without charge and may be withdrawn at any time without notice or reason. The use and availability do not form any part of the hire agreement.

Any item offered as a complimentary gift is offered at the discretion of 1066 Wedding Cars and extends only to the Bride and Groom.

Limitation of Liability

1066 Wedding Cars will not be held responsible for delays or cancellations of ceremonies or receptions, missed appointments or delays, traffic congestion, poor weather conditions, incorrectly advised timings, incomplete address details, hotel incompetence or other circumstances outside our control. We reserve the right to provide a substitute vehicle should the original "booked" vehicle develop a fault or sustained damage that cannot be repaired in good time to complete the vehicles commitment(s). Although we take great care of our vehicles and have them serviced on a regular basis, we cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen problems that may cause the vehicle to breakdown or malfunction prior to the hire period, on route to the wedding (collection address(es) or during the hire period. Any claim for compensation will be strictly limited to the cost of the hire only and no other costs or expenses will be considered.

Terms and Conditions

Our terms and conditions are in place for our mutual protection.

We reserve the right to amend any of these at any time, any confirmed bookings will be notified of any changes.
